Team Up Mission

Team Up Mission (TUM) is a serialized spin-off of My Hero Academia focusing on Deku and friends fighting together along with Pro Heroes. Written and illustrated by Yoco Akiyama, author of the Deku & Bakugo: Rising chapters, Melissa Shield one-shot titled “Kitto Daremo ga Dareka no Hero” (Everyone is Surely Someone’s Hero) and the Watashi no Hero Academia 4-koma spin-off. The series is serialized on the physical-only bimonthly Saikyō Jump with two one-shots on Jump GIGA and Weekly Shōnen Jump.

This is the start of a new full blown spin-off! It’s drawn by Akiyama-sensei who melted my heart with “Saguri-chan Tankentai” (4 volumes)! You’ll be able to see interactions and double action scenes with characters you don’t often get to see together in the main series! It’s a wonderful manga that reaches where I can’t!

The first chapter of the series, published on Saikyō Jump September 2019. This chapter seemingly serves as an introduction of My Hero Academia to new readers, complete with the glowing baby and the nurse.

It introduces most of the main casts and featured a team up at the end. It made no mention of the eponymous system at all.

Mission 1

Published on Saikyō Jump November 2019. This chapter features the TUM of Bakugo, Uraraka and Deku with Rabbit Hero: Mirko!

Most importantly, Deku finally wears his mask piece!

Mission 2

This chapter also coincides with Heroes: Rising promotion with the involvement of Hawks, though the TUM itself has no relation with the movie.

Also, the color page matches the cover drawn by Horikoshi!
